Services
I provide three tiers of officiating services and pricing based on the length of the ceremony the couple is looking to create:
Spontaneous Ceremony
Typically 2-5 minutes long, ideal for couples coming in from out of town and last-minute ceremonies.
Short Ceremony
Typically 5-15 minute ceremony, small wedding party and at least a few weeks to work together to personalize the ceremony.
Long Ceremony
Typically 15 minutes or longer, larger wedding party, more elaborate staging in the ceremony and a longer timeline to plan and write the ceremony–at least three months.
Officiating
Before the ceremony, I meet with all couples (either in person or over the phone) to get a sense of their relationship and what kind of ceremony they envision creating.
Spontaneous officiating services include
- Initial consultation in person or over the phone
- Providing the couple with a ceremony template
- Perform ceremony
- Sign and file marriage license
Short ceremony services include
- Initial consultation in person or over the phone
- Providing the couple with a ceremony template and working with the couple to personalize the ceremony to their relationship
- Recommendations for readings by wedding party members, possible rituals during the ceremony
- Perform ceremony
- Sign and file marriage license
Long ceremony services include
- Initial consultation in person or over the phone
- Working with the couple to write an original ceremony
- Recommendations for readings by wedding party members, possible rituals during the ceremony
- Perform ceremony
- Sign and file marriage license
Rehearsal
Whether you want to run your own rehearsal or have a “neutral” person direct family & friends, I’m happy to stand back and take your lead or step in with certainty if need be.
Writing the Ceremony/Vows
Some couples know exactly what they want in their ceremony, some don’t know where to begin. I am happy to piece together texts that reflect what you believe your relationship to be or help you write a ceremony from scratch—please note that I will not put sentiments in your mouth! I will work with you to create a text that authentically reflects your feelings and ideas about your relationship.
Vows can be the one thing that couples stress over the most, because they tend to be the most intimate and personal part of the ceremony. If you like, I can work with you together or individually to tackle what often ends up being the most memorable part of the ceremony.
